Eragon is by the German State Stud Sire Edward, out of our principle imported, State Premium mare Mai Girl (see her page under Mares).

The Espri line has been largely know for producing great rideability in horses that have ample power behind as jumpers, yet at the same time remain good in all three paces. Edward has arisen out of the line as their great new dressage talent. He scored 140 for his dressage and also 120 for his jumping. His first year breeding he was definitely not in favour and received few mares. However, once german breeders saw the quality of those foals, the tables turned and in the second year he received well over 100 mares. The quality we see in Eragon is testament to this!
